Brazil: Shipments of poultry genetics total 2,139 tons in January

Export revenue in January reached US$ 19.233 million, a balance 0.8% lower than that recorded in the previous year, with US$ 19.391 million.

The main export destination, Mexico, imported 898 tons of Brazilian poultry genetics in January, a figure 13% higher than that recorded in the same period last year. Next came Senegal, with 455 tons (-3%), Paraguay, with 338 tons (+97%), Venezuela, with 186 tons (+289%) and Colombia, with 73 tons (+181%).

"Despite the one-off decline in the month, we see strong demand from countries that are traditional importers of Brazilian genetics, such as Mexico, Paraguay and Venezuela. It is expected that the flow will continue to demand from each country in the coming months", assesses the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.
