German producers Kemper and Reinert join forces to create a new company
German meat producers Kemper and Reinert, owned by the families Kuhnl and Reinert, respectively are to form a new company called "The Family Butchers". Both families have decided to join forces in order to respond to current challenges in the meat sector.
The merger will create the second-largest meat processing company in the German market with an annual turnover of €700 million. Every family will control 50% of the new firm and Dr.Ing.Wolfgang Kühnl ?i Hans-Ewald Reinert will administrate it as partners. The fusion process will be over at the end of the year after all authorization will be received. "The Family Butchers" will have a range of products that will cover all the market segments: from low cost to premium.
„The Family Butchers” will have 9 production units and 2500 employees. "We are determined to find answers to challenges facing the meat industry and meat products. Our merger creates a strong company, highly competitive. That's how we meet the requirements of the future", stated Hans-Ewald Reinert.
"We are going to stay a family-owned company with a clear direction in long-term and a trust value-oriented business. We are aware of our role in developing a sustainable business and the safety of our employees and clients", added dr. Wolfgang Kühnl.
