Van Drie Group takes over Brons
Van Drie Group is to take over Dutch producer of high-quality compound feeds for beef cattle, pigs and poultry, Brons. Brons, with a turnover of €45 million, is a stable factor in the Dutch compound feeds market. The takeover offers continuity to the long history of Brons. The family business was established in 1929. All jobs at Brons will be maintained, as well as the company name and premises. The Brons family will also stay actively involved in the company’s activities.
The VanDrie Group is also a Dutch family business. The VanDrie Group makes veal and beef products, calf feed, dairy products and calfskins. With a revenue of 2 billion euros, the company employs approximately 2,500 people. The Brons takeover adds another 29 to this figure. The agreement has been sent to the Autoriteit Consument en Markt (Consumers and Market Authority, ACM) for approval. The two family businesses expect the ACM to give its approval soon.
