UK supermarket giant launches meat box for the entire family
Supermarket chain Morrisons has launched a giant meat box, containing 2.3 kg of meat, designed to cover the needs of a family for two weeks.
The package is called "The British Meat Pack" because is containing only products from animals farmed in the UK and is to be on the shelves only for a short time, between 12th and 18th of March, during the National Butcher’s Week, reports inews.co.uk.
The package includes: 900g pork loin joint, 420g of steak mince, 450g of lean diced beef, 8 pork sausages and it will cost GBP 10 (11.2 euros), 30% cheaper if you would buy those products separately. Customers will also receive advice on how to cook the products included in the giant meat box.
Morrisons expects to sell 120 tonnes of meat packs during the course of the week. The supermarket’s 2,000 butchers will prepare the cuts and put together the packs in stores.
