Weber Maschinenbau starts construction on a new facility

Weber Maschinenbau announced the start of construction on its new production facility in Werther near Bielefeld, Germany after a symbolic ground-breaking ceremony that was held on 6th of June.
Weber’s seven-figure investment goes into establishing both an office building and a workshop with a total area of approximately 6,000 square meters. The site will serve – among other assets – to manufacture components as well as forming/sealing dies and cutting tools for thermoforming packaging machines, informs the company in a press release.
At least 50 employees of the company will be able to move into the new facilities in approximately one year.
„Thanks to a continuous further development and optimization of our machines and lines and through the expansion of our overall portfolio, our customers and partners have access to complete solutions, customizable to their specific demands. Having brought on board the packaging category, our portfolio has been completed with great additional value. Today’s ground-breaking ceremony, therefore, is much more than just a symbol of our constant growth as Weber, but it mirrors our focus on the demands of our customers. Werther furthermore is an excellent location because so many of our customers are right here in the neighbourhood“, explains Tobias Weber, CEO of Weber Maschinenbau.
Weber Maschinenbau is one of the leading system providers for cold cuts and one of the most important partners for the food processing industry. The company operates 25 locations in 21 countries and has about 1,300 employees.
