Valley Oaks Steak acquires a new traceability system
The company is now able to report the date and time a cut of beef was butchered and packed, proving the freshness of their beef as well as confirming the origin.
The SIMBA system resides on the production floor and automates data collection as meat is butchered, processed and packed. The solution uses fast, accurate barcode technology to record details such as product attributes, pack dates, inventory locations and shipping details. Dynamic Systems says that companies can adapt quickly to changing conditions with this system as it provides real-time traceability and production details.
“We are excited about The SIMBA installation at Valley Oaks Steak Company,” says Alison Falco, President of Dynamic Systems. “We’ve been providing our SIMBA™ system to the seafood processors for years, and we had been asked for a real-time solution that is specifically designed for Meat Processing Industry. Most systems require a lot of time-consuming keyboard data entry to collect production information, and their traceability systems do not have the depth that SIMBA provides.”
According to Dynamic System, SIMBA can be used as a stand-alone system in a production facility or can integrate to a number of ERP system to provide a comprehensive company-wide solution.
