"Through Order No. 30, signed on December 4, 2017, Ukraine granted this authorization and added the facilities identified in this report to their list of approved facilities," the US Department of Agriculture's statement read.

This positive outcome for U.S. exporters is the result of FAS-Kyiv’s coordination with U.S. industry, other USG partners, and persistent negotiations with Ukraine’s veterinary officials for more than six months to gain access for those suppliers. Inclusion of the 19 U.S. facilities guarantees market access and increases potential for additional exports by U.S. companies.

Despite Ukraine’s status as a major producer and exporter of poultry, potential for U.S. exports to Ukraine exists for selected poultry products when market conditions and prices are favorable.
