Tyson Foods recalls 18 tons of chicken nugget products

Tyson Foods has recalled approximately 36,420 pounds (18.21 tons) of chicken nugget products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically rubber.

Tyson Foods recalls 18 tons of chicken nugget products

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said the panko chicken nugget items, which produced on November 26, 2018, were shipped to retail locations across the US.

The problem was discovered when the establishment received consumer complaints of extraneous material in purchased Panko Chicken Nugget products. FSIS was notified on Jan. 29, 2019.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
