The 31st Space edition coming up September 12
The event promises to gather more than 1,450 exhibitors, of which over 300 international coming from 37 countries and over 100,000 professional visitors are expected, of which 15,000 international from 120 countries.
Over four days, Space 2017 will be the host for a European competition , two national competitions, 11 interregional competitions, genetic presentations and an inter-breed auction.
The Breed Show will have no less than 750 animals over the main ring, including 550 bovine from 13 different breeds as well as 200 sheep and goats of 10 different breeds.
Taking into account the fact that every day new technology appears on the market for meat processing, animal feeding, cleaning of buildings etc., this year's theme for the Research & Development platform, which was renamed 'Espace for the future', will focus on 'Robotics for farmers'.
The conferences and meetings program of the SPACE event will again be very dense, with more than 75 conferences scheduled during the Show.
The first edition of Space took place between 18 and 20 September 1987. The event, inaugurated by Ambroise Guellec, then the Minister of the Sea, attracted 260 exhibitors and 32,000 visitors that year.
