Singapore bans pork imports from China
The Food and Veterinary Administration of Singapore has imposed restrictions o the import of pork and pork products from China after the country reported several outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF).
The disease has been detected at a slaughterhouse in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province and Jiangsu Province, in the Laiyungang District of Hai Ling.
Currently, in connection with ASF, the import of pork and pork products from Jiangsu Province has been suspended. However, processed pork products that meet OIE standards for the inactivation of the ASF virus are still allowed to be exported to Singapore.
