Recently, the SIGMA delegation, one of the main companies in the food industry in Mexico, toured beef refrigerators authorized by Senasa to export to Mexico and held business meetings with representatives of the industry and the ABC consortium in order to adjust the details of the start of shipments of this type of meat to the North American country.
During the visits and in the final meeting, the SIGMA representatives were very satisfied with the Argentine products; with the Senasa control system and with the sanitary and hygienic state of the refrigeration plants.
Mexico opened its market to Argentine beef last November, concluding a negotiation process that began in 2014, the last chapter of which took place in July 2022 with a comprehensive audit visit to the beef production and processing system by the service of that country, Senasica, who, accompanied by Senasa professionals, toured breeding farms, laboratories and industrial establishments.
The Mexican Senasica authorized 22 processing plants to export beef products from Argentine. Subsequently, both health services agreed on the animal health requirements of the health certificate that will guarantee the shipments.
During the audit carried out last July, Senasica inspectors verified that Senasa's control system complies with the highest sanitary and food safety standards as Mexico demands.
