Russia's largest turkey producer invests in expanding its production
The company plans to increase its turkey meat production to 270,000 tons per year and its duck meat production to 80,000 tons per year.
Furthermore, Eurodon plans to build a lamb production unit with a capacity of 20,000 tons of meat per year.
Viktor Goncharov, Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region, said that the company produces more than 500,000 tons of wheat annually, and with the expansion of its capacity, it will increase the processing volume to 1 million tons per year.
Eurodon is the largest Russian turkey meat producer and it owns a share of about a third of this market in the country and provides nearly 60% of the poultry meat production in the Rostov region.
According to the results for the first 11 months, Eurodon produced about 50,000 tons of turkey meat in live weight, of which 33,500 tons were produced between July and November 2017.
At the end of the year, the Eurodon Group will produce 82,000 tons of meat (turkeys and ducks) in slaughter weight and about 100,000 tons in live weight.

Eurodon succeeded - not only to get out of this difficult situation with honor but also it strengthened its market position. In the shortest possible time - from July 2017 - production reported unique volumes in the Russian market. This allowed the company to build not only large-scale modern facilities from scratch with a capacity of 150,000 tons or more of meat per year but the company also received timely assistance provided by the authorities at all levels and its strategic partners, "said Vadim Vaneev.
The company produced 74,500 tonnes of turkey meat and 26,000 tonnes of duck meat by the end of 2016.
