Russia to export meat and fish to Turkey
Meat, fish and dairy products from Russia are to enter soon the Turkish market, announced Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev, according to TASS.
"We expect, Turkey soon will allow its market Russia’s meat, dairy and fish products", declared Tkachev in an interview. The official mentioned that the Russian agriculture watchdog, Rosselkhoznadzor, has been working with the Turkish counterparts in order to get access to the Turkish market.
Russia's agricultural turnover in 2017 was about $2.8 billion, marking a rise by 21% compared to 2016. The commercial relationship between the two nations has been deteriorating since November 2015, and Russian exports of meat, fish and dairy are conditioned by resuming import of Turkish fruits and vegetables.
