Russia bans poultry imports from Bulgaria

The restrictions are being placed due to an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N8 avian influenza in Bulgaria.

Russia will not allow the imports of poultry meat and products containing chicken.

Furthermore, food and feed additives for poultry, with the exception of those of plant origin or resulting from chemical and microbiological synthesis, are also banned from the country.
