Romania looks to export frozen sheep carcasses to Qatar
Adrian Oros, Romania's Agriculture Minister, has asked the Qatari Ambassador in Bucharest to transmit his request for the Qatari government to accept frozen sheepmeat carcasses instead of livestock exports, at least for the summer months. "The minister said that there is a major interest from sheep farmers in Romania to establish sustainable partnerships for sheep export. In this regard, the minister transmitted the proposal to encourage and support Qatar businessmen in establishing direct contacts with associations of sheep breeders in Romania to develop viable partnerships with mutual benefits. Also, Minister Adrian Oros expressed the request that the state of Qatar accept the replacement of live animal exports with carcass exports
