RAPS: Magic Smoky Chipotle and Thai Curry set to spice up barbecue season

The latest offerings from RAPS give barbecue meats an authentic appearance and unmistakable flavour. With its smoky, spicy notes, "Magic Smoky Chipotle" is reminiscent of Tex-Mex cuisine thanks to a combination of chipotle chilli with alder smoked salt, sun-dried tomatoes, demerara sugar, cumin and garlic. The spicy, hot marinade "Magic Thai Curry", meanwhile, brings the taste of authentic Thai cuisine to the barbecue thanks to an infusion of chilli, lemongrass, ginger, garlic and a hint of coconut.

The new seasonings are not only perfect for marinating pork, beef, poultry and fish, but also enhance the flavour of meat substitutes, vegetables and cheese, thus appealing to the growing number of consumers who want vegetarian or vegan barbecue delights.

Like all RAPS marinades, the new additions are palm oil-free, contain no allergens and do not require any additive declarations. The selected herbs and spices are evenly distributed in the pure oil marinades and give grilled specialities a particularly attractive appearance and shine. The marinated meat also retains its juices so does not become dry during grilling.

The new marinades are part of the extensive Magic range, which offers numerous possibilities and new recipes: One example is "Multi-Coloured" pork fillet skewers, for which the meat is marinated in three different Magic marinades before being grilled.

Heiko Börner, master butcher and counter specialist at RAPS, emphasises: "With our versatile Magic Marinades, butchers are ideally equipped for the barbecue season and can offer a colourful variety of traditional and exotic grilled specialities with little effort, even during busy periods. And customers get what they want too: Variety and culinary enjoyment".
