Positive trend continues for the US lamb exports in July
The value of the US lamb exports also increased by 46% to $2.17 million in the mentioned period, according to according to data released by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and compiled by the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF).
USMEF added that, through the month of July, the US increased its lamb exports by 54% in volume to 6,680 mt and by 21% in value to $13.44 million.
The US increased its shipments of muscle cuts in the mentioned period to the Caribbean, the United Arab Emirates, the ASEAN region and Taiwan. Meanwhile, USMEF said that the total growth of the lamb exports is attributable to stronger lamb variety meat demand in Mexico.
