Portugal to copy Spain's Interporc example
Interporc's work in communication, innovation, promotion, and internationalization was praised by the Government and the main representatives of the Portuguese pig sector as the best example to follow, according to CdeComunicacion magazine.
At the presentation of the newly formed Porc Interprofessional of Portugal, FILPORC, the main guest was Alberto Herranz, director of Interporc, who was invited to transfer the experience of the 10 years of existence of the Spanish association.
Herranz spoke about the main objectives of the Interprofessional, among them, improving the perception of meat and processed Spanish white pork. "We carry out an important number of actions in which we transfer to consumers their nutritional properties, their healthy advantages, and their high quality", he mentioned.
In fact, Interporc is carrying about 50 actions annually through International Promotion Plan along with other intense activities in fields of R + D + i, the edition of information of maximum interest for the sector, digitalization, Big Data applied to pigs or presence in events professionals or scientists.
"We contribute to a greater presence of our companies abroad, spreading the quality and the nutritional and healthy qualities of meat and Spanish pork derivatives, key messages to continue opening markets", added Herranz.
