Poland is targeting Africa for poultry exports

Polish poultry producers are advised to focus on African countries in the following years to capitalize on a rapid expansion of that market. According to a tweet from the National Poultry Council - Chamber of Commerce (KRD-IG), the African continent is to see an increase in poultry consumption shortly.
"Opening up to markets in Africa should be one of the priorities for the Polish poultry industry in the coming years. According to the latest research, it is on this continent that the largest increase in consumption of poultry products will occur," said the organization. Poland is the largest poultry producer in the EU and the world's third-largest exporter of poultry.
An outlook published by Africa.com identifies Ethiopia, Ghana, Tanzania, Nigeria, Uganda, Mozambique and Angola as the most promising markets for poultry producers and investors in the area. According to the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization, poultry consumption in several African countries is expected to double in the next ten years.
However, some African states are adopting protectionist measures in an attempt to encourage local producers to expand their businesses.
