Perky Jerky launches a new pork variety
“Our core consumers are busy millennials looking for high protein, low carb snacks they can enjoy on the run,” said Denise Sirovatka, Chief Commercial Officer at Perky Jerky. “But they want an alternative to beef and turkey jerky and are seeking globally inspired flavors. Our new line of pork jerky delivers a lean protein with exciting flavors that are right on trend.”
According to the company's statement, "each pork jerky flavor is 80 calories or less per serving, packs 8 grams of protein and has 40% less sugar than other pork jerky. Like the beef and turkey Perky Jerky, the new pork is an all-natural, premium jerky that is free of nitrites, preservatives, gluten and has no added MSG."
The launch of pork jerky is part of a brand evolution for Perky Jerky. The new pork line will feature Perky’s updated packaging designed with the core consumer in mind. Fifty-eight percent of Perky Fans are women, and the bright new packaging allows moms on the run to quickly identify their favorite flavors and the health perks that set Perky Jerky apart.
