Miratorg increased its pork production in the Kursk region

The company's pork production increased by 6% compared to the first nine months of the previous year.

Miratorg is implementing the largest inter-regional project to increase pork production in the regions Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk.

In the district of Pristensky of the Kursk region is situated the second-largest pig breeding capacities of Miratorg. Miratorg owns 8 pig-breeding complexes in this region. The company announced that the number of pigs within this units reached 584 thousand pigs, which is 3% more than in 2017.

The increase in livestock numbers and sales is due to the launch of new production sites with increased production efficiency.

Miratorg's strategy until 2023 is to almost double the pork production in the Kursk region, as well as fully commissioning a robotic meat slaughterhouse with a processing capacity of 4.5 million head per year, the construction of which started in the Oktyabrsky district. Miratorg is doubling thus the number of employees to more than 6,000 people in the region.

“In addition to the socioeconomic effect for the region — increasing jobs and tax deductions to the local budget — expanding production will reduce the cost of products, and thus free up additional funds for investment in the agro-industrial sector and the creation of new enterprises,” Miratorg's press service commented.
