Minerva Foods exported the first batch of carbon-neutral meat to US
The Minerva Foods company exported the first batch of certified Carbon Neutral meat from Brazil to the United States. The Brazilian shipment was made with cuts produced in Araguaína – TO unit.
The products shipped have the CO2 Neutral seal, which means that all Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions generated in the production chain are calculated and neutralized.
The compensation is made from the origin of the raw material, through processing and transportation to the destination, as reported by the company on its Twitter account.
The achievement was an initiative of the Renove Program, which operates in the development of low-carbon livestock, with the support of the subsidiary MyCarbon.
