MeatEx Canada moves to 2021
The first edition of MeatEx Canada, scheduled for 23 - 25 July, is postponed to February 2021, according to an announcement made by organizers of the exhibition. "The 1st edition, which was scheduled to take place from 23 - 25 July will now take place from 4 – 6 February 2021 at the Enercare Exhibition Centre", said a press release from MeatEx Canada.
The postponement comes amid ongoing international uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic which is sweeping the world, with containment measures restricting borders and affecting economies on the whole. "After listening to concerns from our exhibitors, associations, and visitors, and we sympathies and understand that the current situation would limit the ability of many stakeholders to plan for the show at its original dates in July.
Confirming the new dates proved particularly challenging on account of the exhibition's size coupled with a very busy events' schedule at the venue, however, we're confident we've settled on a date that is most suitable for all our stakeholders.
On behalf of all of us here at Farasoo Holding Corporation, we stand united with the entire meat industry as we navigate these challenging times. We're conscious of our duty of care, and reiterate that the safety and well-being of exhibitors and visitors is the highest priority. We're carefully watching and taking the advice of the relevant local and global authorities and assure you that all appropriate health and safety measures will be in place when MeatEx Canada opens later at the beginning of next year", announced Farasoo Holding Corporation.
It is not the only event to be postponed but it is the first trade fair dedicated to the meat industry to move to 2021 due to issues regarding the safety and well-being of exhibitors and visitors. On a positive note, MeatEx Canada will showcase a number of exciting elements such as the Modern Workshops and the Innovation Zone, which will keep the many thousands of trade buyers and industry professionals in tune with new market developments.
