Roger Claessens will replace Anton de Weerd as Executive VP in Poultry division and will report directly to CEO Arni Oddur Thordarson.

Marel names new Executive Vice President starting September

Marel announced the appointment of Roger Claessens to the position of Executive Vice President of Marel Poultry, as of 1 September 2019. Roger will become a member of Marel’s Executive Team and report directly to CEO Árni Oddur Thórdarson. Until 1 September 2019, Anton de Weerd will continue in his role as Executive Vice President of Marel Poultry to facilitate the transition before taking on a new role within Marel.
Roger Claessens has a history of 18 years worked inside the Group and in the last five, he was the Director of Innovation for Marel Poultry. Claessens is 43 years old and holds an MSc degree in agricultural engineering from Wageningen University and Research.
