Kuwait bans imports of beef, goat and poultry from several countries
The Ministry of Commerce has issued 11 administrative decisions to ban the mentioned imports and five decisions to lift the ban on poultry and cattle imports from other countries.
Imports of beef, sheep, goats and meat products from Russia have also been banned due to fears regarding foot-and-mouth disease outbreaks and from Kazakhstan due to anthrax contamination.
Furthermore, Kuwait banned poultry and egg imports from Pakistan, Mexico, Texas, Missouri, Denmark and the UK.
On the other hand, bans were lifted for beef imports from Portugal and for poultry meat imports from four countries: Montenegro, Lithuania, Cameroon and Slovenia.
