JBS recalls ground beef products due to foreign matter contamination

More than 16 tons of raw ground beef produced by JBS USA are being recalled from the market after the company has discovered that the product was contaminated with foreign matter, informs the United States Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The problem was discovered after the firm received a complaint from a consumer who found blue, hard plastic pieces in one of the products.

Health risk classification is low and, until now, there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products but FSIS is concerned that some product may be frozen and in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
