INTERPORC expresses in China “the firm intention to continue meeting the country’s demand for pork”
This was stated during his speech at the 'China International Meat Conference', with a presentation focused on Spain's role as a reliable and high-quality supplier for the Chinese meat market, where he highlighted that "our high standards of food safety and quality, accompanied by good relations of mutual trust, are what have made us the main pork supplier to China".
The aim of his presentation was to strengthen trade ties and opportunities for collaboration with this key market for the Spanish pork sector, in which he highlighted the commitment of the Spanish pork sector to China, "consolidated over years of cooperation and export of excellent products with the highest quality guarantees".
In addition, he has also confirmed its desire to promote promotional actions for distinctive products such as Spanish ham, in order to contribute to popularising its consumption among the Chinese population".
Finally, the International Director of the Interprofessional has expressed his satisfaction at participating once again in this benchmark event. "For INTERPORC and for the Spanish pork sector in general, this is a must-attend event, as it allows us to directly present to the Chinese market the reasons for our leadership and the differentiating value of our 'Spanish Pork' products".
INTERPORC's participation in the 'China International Meat Conference' has taken place in the context of its participation in the CIIE Shanghai fair, within the framework of the campaign co-financed by the European Union 'EU Pork, The Smart Choice', which has been running since last year.
With more than 3,500 exhibitors from 150 countries, this is one of the most important fairs in the world and, without a doubt, a must-attend event. This excellent setting allows Chinese pork professionals, as well as their consumers, to show the excellence of Spanish products.
INTERPORC has an interactive stand where it has organised business meetings between Spanish and Chinese pork companies. It has also offered the public tastings of products cooked in both Western and Chinese styles, as well as ham cutting demonstrations, so that attendees can discover the flavour, quality and versatility of Spanish pork.
