Guillin to buy Etimex's UK thermoforming activities
Guillin plans to acquire Sharpak Bridgwater, the UK subsidiary of the German group Etimex Primary Packaging.
The two companies have recently signed an agreement and want to close the transaction no later than September this year.
Guillin will acquire the business which also includes the production and sales of thermoformed C-PET trays, which amount to a turnover of nearly 6 million euros.
Etimex Primary Packaging produces thermoformed packaging made of PP, C-PET and A-PET for food, pet food, baby food and the pharmaceutical industries.
On the other hand, Guillin is in the business of producing also thermoformed trays for meat, vegetables, baked goods and fruit.
Last fiscal year, Guillin has recorded a turnover of 599.6 million euros, up 5.4% compared to the previous fiscal year, and over a third of this sum comes from French market and the one from the UK.
