For 84 percent of Germans, sausage and ham will continue to be part of their diet in the future. Germans want to continue eating sausages and hams in the future

"Sausage and ham are at the heart of society. As sausage producers, we are committed to a debate that reflects all consumer needs. One thing is clear: we have to make our supply of fresh food sustainable. Sausage producers advocate conscious meat consumption. We demand mindfulness for animal-based foods and more respect for all participants in the value chain," says Sarah Dhem,

The sausage and ham producers supply the population with local food. The clear commitment of the Germans to their products is a confirmation of this social mission. “People trust the producers in the regions. They make it clear that they don't want to do without sausage and ham. This is a strong sign of the diverse sausage and ham culture in Germany. We are committed to a food policy that does not patronize anyone,” says Dhem. The members of the federal association have been actively involved in shaping this transformation process for several years. They are expanding their range in the areas of animal welfare and vegetable proteins. “The previous way of consumption is changing and that’s a good thing. The sausage producers deliver products of the highest quality for all consumer needs”.
