The clear commitment of the Germans to their products is a confirmation of this social mission. “People trust the producers in the regions. They make it clear that they don't want to do without sausage and ham. This is a strong sign of the diverse sausage and ham culture in Germany. We are committed to a food policy that does not patronize anyone,” says Dhem. The members of the federal association have been actively involved in shaping this transformation process for several years. They are expanding their range in the areas of animal welfare and vegetable proteins. “The previous way of consumption is changing and that’s a good thing. The sausage producers deliver products of the highest quality for all consumer needs”.
