Geldof Poultry buys Belgian hatchery firm
Belgian family-owned Geldof Poultry Products announced the acquisition of EMKA Incubators, a hatchery producer from the same country. "The new acquisition will combine the strength of both Geldof Poultry Products and EMKA Hatchery Equipment. By offering hatching equipment, Geldof Poultry will be able to meet better the needs of its customers", declared Pieter Geldof, owner of the company.
The company was rebranded into EMKA Hatchery Equipment but it will act as an independent company under the management of Pieter Geldof and Daniel Abrahams, the former sales director of EMKA Incubators.
EMKA Hatchery Equipment will have three new divisions: EMKA Incubators, EMKA Automation, and EMKA Services.
Geldof Poultry holds a considerable market share in Belgium but is also active in the African markets where it delivers hatching eggs and day-old chickens but also all kinds of poultry-related products. This can be incubators, veterinary products, vitamins, slaughter equipment, egg packers, etc.
