France to export more pork to China

Mr. Le Maire announced that Chinese audits for French pork plants from 2015 will soon be published. If the results of the audits will be positive, France could soon be able to export more pork to China, according to sino.co.uk.

There is a significant potential for large growth for the trade partners involved, China being the largest importer of pork. In 2016, the country imported 1.5 million tons of pork.

Furthermore, production facilities from England and Northern Ireland have obtained new export deals with China which could be worth nearly £200 million to the British economy.

The trade deals with China could mean also that thousands of jobs will be created in the regions involved.
