Mongolian authorities have confirmed an outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) on January 9.

First case of ASF reported in Mongolia

The first outbreak of the disease was detected at a farm in the province of Bulgan located in the northern part of the country, according to the International Epizootics Bureau.

Authorities have confirmed the death of 85 pigs. In total, 214 pigs were culled. Measures are being carried out in Mongolia to eradicate the disease and prevent it from further spreading.
