Dyrbar and Friland present the Danish Crown at Denmark's largest food festival
Great tasting experiences, good ingredients and exciting debates about food and foodstuffs fill Tangkrogen in Aarhus on the weekend of 1-3. September, when the Food Festival opens the site to visitors. It is the country's largest food festival, where Danish Crown will this year be represented by Friland and Dyrbar, both of which have a stand together with over 250 other exhibitors.
The festival is a really good showcase for the two Danish Crown brands, who are looking forward to meeting the many thousands of guests who are expected to attend over the three days. At Friland, this year's festival is a great opportunity to meet consumers for a chat about good animal welfare and ecology.
"We are really looking forward to this year's Food Festival, and we use the festival to talk to both new consumers and the many who already buy our products. It is important to us that we have the opportunity to engage in dialogue and to be able to share taste samples of a wide range of our range of pork and beef. At the same time, we also have a wide range of activities for young and old at our stand, which we hope many will come and try", says Brand Manager in Friland, Malene Bach.
At Dyrbar, too, the dining experience is paramount when the grill is started and the meat is found. This year, Dyrbar has both traditional cuts, but also a number of special products that guests can stop by and taste. Among other things, "tie" and "spider" from wild pig are on the menu at Dyrbar.
"The Food Festival is a golden opportunity for us to enter into dialogue with consumers. The guests are usually both curious and inquisitive. We love hook-aging, cooking and everything in between, so the festival is a good opportunity to talk about our quality meat and share our passion with other food enthusiasts. There are still many people who are surprised when we say, for example, that pork may be roasted pink, but when they see and taste what hook cooking does to a neck chop, they open their eyes to what pig - and not least Danish Crown – can too", says Maria Gram, who is responsible for Dyrbar's stand at the Food Festival.
