China removes duties on US broilers
The duties on US broilers were first introduced in 2010. China took the decision to drop them, after the World Organization required this from the Asian country in January, according to Feedstuffs.
USA Poultry & Egg Export Council president Jim Sumner said in a statement that WTO's ruling and China's decision to remove the duties are very positive signs. "We are especially appreciative of the U.S. Trade Representative’s relentless effort during many years of hearings and appeals before the WTO, which ultimately allowed the U.S. to prevail," Mr. Sumner said, as reported by Feedstuffs.
