Carnimad elects new board of directors
Carnimad has renewed its Board of Directors and has done so by incorporating new profiles in its governing body. Joining the team as members are Trinidad Gomez, Director of the Sertina company; Juan Carlos San Cayo, Manager of SanCayo Carniceria, and Alberto Salto, Manager of El As de las Carnes.
In compliance with the provisions of its Statutes, Carnimad held, on November 23, 2020, the elections to elect its representatives in the government of the organization for a new four-year legislative period.
Formally constituted by all its members on February 1, the result of this election has brought about the renewal of its Board of Directors with three new additions as members. The rest of the positions, also by a unanimous vote of the members of the Organization, will continue to be filled by the same professionals who were already doing so in the previous legislature.
The Organization thus has, since its constitution in 1931 and coinciding with the year in which it celebrates its 90 years of existence, two women in its management body. Trinidad Gomez is, together with her sister, the Director of the Sertina company, synonymous with quality and a benchmark in the sector of the traditional trade of poultry products, currently having 100 workers, 15 points of sale in Madrid, delegation in Marbella and Barcelona, and a caterer division.
Mariti, as she is known among our professionals, is a pioneer woman in the sector and as such will contribute to the organization her special vision and knowledge of it, through the prism of the sale of birds, a booming segment in our country in the recent years and with a long journey, which can serve the group in order to open new lines of business.
Alberto Salto, Founder and Manager of El As de las Carnes, is one of the exponents of that necessary generational change for which Carnimad has worked so hard. In fact, despite his youth, he has spent more than half his life working in the specialized trade sector, he currently has two butcher shops, a fish shop, a poultry shop and a delicatessen store. He has also managed to create a brand and a young team, having a more than notorious presence on social networks.
Alberto seeks to revolutionize the specialized meat trade, without giving up traditional products to which he has added his personal touch. It is precisely his positive attitude, his freshness and youth that has led him to occupy a position on the new Board of Directors.
Juan Carlos San Cayo, Manager of Carnicerias San Cayo, has led almost his entire career at the forefront of the business that his father founded in the Las Ventas Market, and which he expanded by opening another point of sale at street level in 2014; the latter made up not only of butcher shops but also delicatessens, poultry and a great selection of gourmet products, betting on the sale and production of his own products.
