CLITRAVI elects new president
Michael H.G. Schara is the new president of CLITRAVI, the European association of meat industries representing 28 national meat processing associations. The appointment took place during the 62nd General Assembly held between May 1 and 3 in Barcelona. Schara succeeds Giorgia Vitali and he is expected to hold this position until 2025. He is currently president of Schara, a family company founded in 1954 in Barcelona. During 2014-2016, Michael Schara held the presidency of the Spanish interprofessional association FECIC.
His training includes a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Senior Business Management, completed in the early 2000s at the IESE Business School of the University of Navarra. This is the first time when a Spaniard is elected as president of CLITRAVI.
