The result in revenue from sales of Brazilian chicken meat reached US$ 1.593 billion in the first two months of this year, surpassing by 24.5% the total recorded in 2022, with US$ 1.280 billion.
Main destination of Brazilian exports, China imported 111.7 thousand tons in the first two months of this year, a volume 23.2% higher than that registered in the same period of 2022, with 90.6 thousand tons. Returning to second place, Saudi Arabia imported 62.4 thousand tons this year (+71.9%), followed by South Africa, with 61.7 thousand tons (+9.6%), United Arab Emirates, with 61 .2 thousand tons (-28.5%), Japan, with 60.7 thousand tons (+10%) and the European Union, with 40.1 thousand tons (+15.8%).
"The international demand for the Brazilian product continues to rise, with occasional changes being offset by increased purchases from other importing countries. This year, we have seen traditional markets, such as China and the European Union, resume their leading role in the performance of chicken meat shipments from Brazil, indicating a trend in purchasing behavior that should continue throughout 2023", analyzes the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.
