Brazil: Egg exports grow 69.5 percent in 2024
In revenue, the increase reached 0.9%, with US$3.034 million in February this year, compared to US$2.998 million in the second month of 2023.
Year-to-date, the increase is 69.5%, with a total of 3,535 thousand tons in the first two months of 2024, against 2,086 thousand tons in the first two months of the previous year. In the same comparative period, export revenue accumulated an increase of 24.5%, with US$6.433 million in 2024, against US$5.166 million in 2023.
The United Arab Emirates regained its lead as the main destination for egg exports from Brazil in the first two months of this year. In total, there were 1,562 thousand tons, an increase of 102% compared to the same period last year. In second place, Chile imported 435 tons (+1,368%).
"Egg shipments from Brazil continue to maintain constant flow in exports, with reinforcement in market capillarity through international actions in strategic markets for the sector, such as the Middle East, indicating the shipment trend for the year", assesses the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.
