Belgian Meat Day at INDAGRA FOOD & CARNEXPO 2019
Belgian Meat Office will be present at INDAGRA FOOD & CARNEXPO 2019 trade fair at ROMEXPO, in Bucharest, Romania, from October 30 - November 3 promoting the most important enterprise from Belgium's red meat industry and their products.
On October 30, Belgian meat producers will visit the fair and will promote their products at a series of B2B meetings in CARNEXPO stand. Romanian producers of food, retail buyers, food machine dealers and representatives from the hospitality sector are invited to meet them and engage in discussion.
The day will be completed with a cocktail evening, where the Belgian delegation and their Romanian counterparts cand easily discuss partnerships in a relaxed environment.
Last year's edition of the fair has recorded a number of 60,000 visitors and more than 200 exhibitors. INDAGRA FOOD & CARNEXPO 2019 addresses producers, distributors and importers of equipment and technology for different sectors of the food industry such as meat, bakery, fruits and vegetables, fish and seafood and dairy.
A fair to remember
This year, INDAGRA FOOD & CARNEXPO will host a series of events designed to respond to a series of challenges that the food industry must face in the next years. PROPACK will be one of the highlights of the trade fair in Bucharest offering multiple solutions to the "less plastic" issue and also to food waste problems. Created to address the needs of the packaging industry in South-East Europe, PROPACK will host several panels of discussion referring to new technologies and concepts designed to resolve several problems that the food industry is currently facing.
"See the Future" is another important event that is included in the agenda of INDAGRA FOOD & CARNEXPO 2019. The conference will evaluate the new trends existing in the market and how the producers may adapt fast to the consumer's requirements for healthy, clean food. Both of the events will gather more than 20 speakers.
Challenging times
In the last 10 years, INDAGRA FOOD & CARNEXPO has grown from a local trade fair to one of the largest events for the food industry in South-East Europe. Now it is time to offer another perspective for this event, believes Eugen Capr? (photo), General Manager of Carnexpo show. "These are challenging times for the industry. On one hand, we have an environmental issue to deal with, along with a clear need to offer replacements for the classic food. One the other hand, the world is facing a biosecurity crisis in the pig industry, pig meat being one of the most consumed animal protein in the world. The situation in Asia and, to some extent, in South-East Europe have impacted pork prices in several markets and may create a shift in animal production and animal protein consumption for at least a couple of years. I think that this is one of the biggest concerns for all the players in the meat industry. I certainly hope that this year's edition of INDAGRA FOOD & CARNEXPO will offer some of the answers that we all are looking for when it comes to food safety, environment, sustainability, food waste and emerging trends in consumption", stated Mr. Capr?.
