Belarus bans beef imports from several regions in China

Authorities from Belarus have imposed temporary restrictions on the import of beef from 10 regions in China after some outbreaks of foot and mouth disease hit farms in these regions.

Belarus bans beef imports from several regions in China

According to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), in the provinces of Henan, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Shanxi, Guizhou, Hubei, Anhui, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Gansu, cases of foot and mouth disease have been reported, informs BelTA.

The information appears on the website of the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Temporary restrictions were imposed on the importation from the Chinese regions of animals, meat, meat products and other raw materials, obtained from slaughter of cattle susceptible to the disease, raw materials, milk and dairy products received from the regions, susceptible to foot and mouth disease from large and small cattle.
