Beef shipments from Belarus reach the Chinese market for the first time
Belarus exported its first batch of 148.5 kilograms of frozen beef, after the country became the 14th country approved to export beef to China in July 2017.
Belarus exports over 130,000 tons of beef to other countries anually.
China is the world’s third largest beef importer and consumes as much as 7.9 million tons of beef every years.
There are 14 countries that export beef to China: Belarus, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Canada, the US, Mongolia, Mexico, South Africa, Uruguay, New Zealand, Hungary and Chile.
