The Armenian State Food Safety Service recently banned the sale of a number of brands of chicken meat, after it detected salmonella in them.

Armenian Agency detected Salmonella in chicken products

The head of the State Food Safety Service, Ishkhan Karapetyan, revealed the names of the companies which supplied the contaminated chicken meat.

The authorities announced the ban for the sale of these products and also ordered the withdrawal of the chicken meat from the retail chains.

The products banned by the State Food Safety Service are:

- frozen chicken wings Frangosul, producer country, Brazil, importer, Gor Hit Trading LLC, size of the suspended batch in the warehouse, 3,500 kg;

- frozen chicken legs SEARA (manufacturer), producer country, Brazil, importer, Eriz LLC, amount of suspended batch in stock, 15,000 kg;

- frozen chicken breast Premium producer country, Russian Federation, importer, Saratov Poultry Factory Kurnikov LLC, the amount of suspended batch in the warehouse is 242 kg;

- frozen chicken breast Qualiko, producer country - Ukraine, importer - Donmal LLC; the amount of suspended batch in the warehouse is 2,500 kg;

- frozen chicken wings Qualiko, producer country, Ukraine, importer, Donmal LLC, the amount of suspended batch in the warehouse is 1,000 kg;

- frozen broiler chick Miratorg, producer country, Russian Federation, importer, Brandrender, the amount of suspended batch in stock 12,354 kg.
