Argentine opened a new market for meat exports

Israel approved the veterinary certificate for the shipment of Kosher bone-in beef. In the search to increase the level of exports, the Bioeconomy Secretariat, through the National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (SENASA), reported that it was possible to open the export of Kosher bone-in beef and sheep to Israel.

Argentine opened a new market for meat exports

The authorization to various plants and establishments for shipments is given after the veterinary director of Imports and Exports of the Veterinary and Animal Health Service of Israel (Isvath), Shlomo Garazi, officially communicated to the Argentine Embassy in that country the approval of the veterinary certificate for the shipment of this type of products.

It should be noted that Israel is the third largest buyer of products of animal origin: last year, SENASA certified the export of 36,800 tons of boneless beef for that destination.

In this way, the scope of the current International Veterinary Certificate is expanded for the shipment of boneless meats and offal and a new market is opened for bone-in meat from Argentine, a measure that was promoted last January by the Ministry of National bioeconomy, SENASA and the Foreign Ministry.

In this framework, the president of SENASA, Pablo Cortese, highlighted that Argentin is recognized by the World Organization for Animal Health as “free from foot and mouth disease”, with two free zones with vaccination and three without vaccination. This health status, which has been maintained since 2006, is reconfirmed annually for Argentine, which generates confidence in its buyers.
