An undetermined amount of raw halal poultry products recalled in the US

Afandina Halal, a Long Island City, New York establishment, has been ordered to recall an undetermined amount of raw poultry products that were produced, packaged and distributed without the benefit of federal inspection, announced US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS).
The items were produced and packaged between May 14 and June 22 and comprise halal products such as boneless leg meat, whole chicken legs, chicken cutlets. All the products have been shipped to retail locations in New York City.
The problem was discovered when FSIS personnel were performing inspection activities and the agency is concerned that some product may be frozen and in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
