ASICI announce €5.8 million budget to promote Iberian ham
ITACA, the traceability system developed for the swine sector in Spain, has already proved its efficiency in the last four years, step by step helping to increase the Quality Standard for Spanish pork, informs ASICI, the Spanish interprofessional association in the sector.
Some update to the Standard may come in short-term, as ASICI intends to use a €5.8 million budget secured through European funds to promote the commercialization and internationalization of the Iberian hams for the next three years.
Along with the campaigns, ITACA will be presented to the public as an application that will allow the consumer, through of your mobile, know the traceability of any Ham or Iberian Shoulder of the market.
These two unprecedented initiatives that will allow, respectively, consolidate and broaden the knowledge and recognition of Spanish Iberian hams in international markets and continue to promote confidence and transparency in Iberian products, informs the association.
