ABPA: Situation of wild birds in Rio Pardo, Brazil

The Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) and the Poultry Organization of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (OARS / Asgav/Sipargs ) inform that they are monitoring, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock. Sustainable Production and Irrigation, monitoring actions regarding the occurrence of Avian Influenza in wild birds registered in the municipality of Rio Pardo (RS).

ABPA: Situation of wild birds in Rio Pardo, Brazil

The entities remember that production in the state and in Brazil continues without any record of the disease. Therefore, there is no change in relation to the health status of Brazil , which remains recognized as free from Avian Influenza by the World Organization for Animal Health (WHO). Production and exports continue in normal flow, with biosecurity protocols maintained at the highest levels.

At the same time, ABPA and OARS/ASGAV/SIPARGS remember that there is no risk to the products or the consumer, if the disease is treated in a specific situation of birds.
