87 tonnes of pork sausages recalled from the market
The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) initiated the recall procedure for ready-to-eat pork sausages produced and packaged for Conagra Brand / Duke’s Meats at Monogram Meat Snacks, Virginia, due to possible product contamination.
This recall is being initiated due to product tampering, following the production process. The ready-to-eat pork sausages are heat-treated and shelf-stable and were produced between Jan. 16 and March 7, 2019. The products were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
The problem was discovered on March 11, 2019, when the establishment confirmed that the product was distributed into U.S. commerce.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
