€13 million invested in a Romanian cattle farm
Romanian company Unicarm has opened a new farm located on the Northern side of the country, in the village of Moftin, Satu Mare county. The building of this facility took almost three years and a total investment of €13 million.
According to the company, the farm is one of the biggest in Romania and includes cattle stables, a mill with a total capacity of 10 tonnes per day, silos for 20 tonnes of feed, bedrooms for employees, office spaces and several other utilities.
The farm currently holds 800 bulls, 1 tonne each, and finished cows ready to slaughter. Unicarm intends to use the facility to supply its other businesses based on beef. Also, the company will open 12 new supermarkets in the North of Romania to expand its distribution chain.
